1900-1910s - Powered Flight Begins

December 17, 1903 - The Wright Brothers make the first heavier-than-air powered flight in their homebuilt aircraft, the Wright Flyer, at Kill Devils Hill, NC.

April 16, 1904 - Mr. Orland George Corben is born in Des Moines, IA. [1]

1918 - At age 14, Corben begins flying. His first flight was in a Curtiss Jenny. [2][3]
