Statement of Purpose

The Golden Age of aviation, the 1920s and 1930s, was one of the most interesting periods of aviation history. Ace aircraft were part of the first amateur-built aircraft movement during the Golden Age. In the 1950s, Ace aircraft would help start the second homebuilt revolution and create interest in a new organization, the Experimental Aircraft Association.

However, the history of Ace aircraft use to be as much myth and legend as documented fact. Because of this, there was a lot of inaccurate information about Ace aircraft on the Internet, Wikipedia, and other public sources. So, research was conducted on Ace aircraft to document an accurate history of these amazing aircraft to share with the world.

The Corben Sport Planes Museum was established to tell the amazing story of Mr. Corben, these remarkable aircraft, and those that followed Mr. Corben and kept his dream of safe, easy, and inexpensive flying alive.
